A recent road trip with classic rock and oldies on the F.M. made me reflective.
I've heard the following radio songs many times and they still sound fresh and exciting:
- The Weight - The Band
- Good Times Bad Times - Led Zeppelin
- Funk #49 - James Gang
- I Am The Walrus - The Beatles
- Street Fighting Man - The Rolling Stones
- Tears of a Clown - Smokey Robinson & The Miracles
- Like a Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan
- Cinnamon Girl - Neil Young
- Fortunate Son - Creedence Clearwater Revival
- 96 Tears - Question Mark and The Mysterians
- Crocodile Rock - Elton John
- Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin
- Yellow Submarine - The Beatles
- Start Me Up - The Rolling Stones
- Sweet Home Alabama - Lynyrd Skynyrd
- Sea Cruise - Frankie Ford
- Rainy Day Women #12 & 35 - Bob Dylan
- Old Time Rock & Roll - Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band
- Kokomo - The Beach Boys
- Sherry - The Four Seasons
There are five songs on the latter list that make me cringe and want to smash the radio with a hammer.
